West Bengal records 895 fresh COVID-19 cases, 21 new deaths

Kolkata: West Bengal witnessed a massive spike of 895 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, officials said.

The state also registered 21 new deaths due to the highly infectious disease.

There are 22,126 COVID-19 cases recorded in the state at present. It includes 6658 active cases.

With 545 people discharged from hospital, 14711 people have been released from medical facilities in the state so far.

The death toll due to the disease in the state now stands at 757.

The discharge rate is 66.48 percent.
