Over 2.74 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses still available with states: Health Ministry

New Delhi/UNI: More than 2.74 crore (2,74,37,108) balance and unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and Union Territories, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday.

As many as 18,16,140 more are in the pipeline, it added.

So far, the Centre has provided 41.69 crore (41,69,24,550) doses to the states. Of this, the total consumption, including wastages, is 38,94,87,442 doses, as per data available this morning.

Meanwhile, India reported 38,079 new cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours pushing the case tally to 3,10,64,908, while the death toll mounted to 4,13,091 with 560 more fatalities, as per the Ministry.

On the vaccination front, 39,96,95,879 people have been administered Covid-19 vaccines, with 42,12,557 being inoculated in the past 24 hours.
