Myanmar reports 1 more COVID-19 death, 185 new cases

Yangon/Xinhua: Myanmar reported one more COVID-19 death on Wednesday night, bringing the death toll in the country to 40 in total, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.

According to the release, a 73-year-old woman with underlying diseases died of acute respiratory failure due to severe pneumonia on Tuesday.

In the meantime, a total of 185 more COVID-19 confirmed cases were reported in the country, the release said.

The newly confirmed cases brought the number of infection cases of COVID-19 in the country to 3,821 in total.

According to the ministry's figures, 908 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
