Jalpaiguri: Another case of Covid found

Jalpaiguri, May 20 (UNI) Another case of Covid was found in Jalpaiguri.

The victim is a resident of Goral Bari area of Jalpaiguri.

The girl was recently admitted to Sari Hospital at Jalpaiguri Post Complex with Corona symptoms.
The woman's swab was collected last Tuesday and then it was sent to North Bengal Medical College for examination. The report came on Tuesday and it showed positive signs.

Of these, 19 students are residents of Cooch Behar district and the remaining 13 are residents of different places in Jalpaiguri district.

Within a few days of her arrival, the young woman developed fever and was advised by the health department to stay in the quarantine at the Jalpaiguri sports complex.

After that, the test of the young woman was noticed positive.

On the other hand, the Jalpaiguri District Health Department is busy to find out who came in contact with the victim.

The health department has informed that the family members of the girl will be tested for Covid.
For now, family members of the victim have been told to take home quarantine.

According to district administration sources, the health department has already held a meeting with the district police in this regard.

The administration today announced that the area of Goral Bari may be declared as a quarantine zone.

According to the health department, the remaining 12 students from Kolkata will be tested for Covid.
