Tel Aviv/IBNS: Israel has reported the first case of "florona" disease, a double infection of COVID-19 and influenza, media report said.

"#Israel records first case of #florona disease, a double infection of #COVID19 and influenza," Arab News tweeted.

Israel has already started administering the fourth shot of coronavirus vaccine on Friday to population with compromised immunity.

According to Times of Israel, the fourth shot is given to the people with compressed immunity so long as at least four months have passed since their third shot.

Israel has been recording a steady rise in Covid-19 cases.

As per the new data from the Health Ministry, nearly 5,000 new cases were diagnosed on Thursday.
