Tehran, Nov 14 (IBNS): Thousands of Iranians have been forced to sleep outdoors, battling the harsh cold for the second consecutive night after quake struck the Iraq-Iran border region on Sunday, report said.

Local officials have placed the death toll at 430, while at least 7000 people have suffered injuries after the 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit the country.

The Iranian government is finding it hard to aide victims in the one of the worst hit area in the mountainous province of Kermanshah.

Hundreds of homes have been completely mauled by the calamity as more and more numbers of survivors are looking for refuge.

Amid the crisis, Iran had declared Tuesday a national day of mourning.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is due to visit the affected areas, but officials have barred international media from entering the quake-hit regions.
