India's COVID-19 death toll touches 34193

Mumbai: The number of COVID-19 cases in India has jumped to 1,531,669 after 48,513 fresh cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.

With 768 fatalities, the death toll due to the disease is now 34193, as per Ministry of Health website.

There are 509447 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 988029 people have recovered from the disease.
