India's COVID-19 cases drop, 19,968 fresh infections in last 24 hrs

New Delhi/IBNS: India registered 19,968 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The country's active caseload currently stands at 2,24,187.

The recovery rate is presently at 98.28 per cent with 48,847 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total recoveries were pushed up to 4,20,86,383.

The daily positivity rate also dropped to 1.68 per cent.

About 175.37 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
