Indian Army holds health check up camp in Samba

Jammu, Mar 19 (UNI) Indian Army's Sabre Brigade under Rising Star Corps, in close coordination with the Civil Administration of Samba and Jammu, on Tuesday organised a Medical, Dental and Veterinary Camp at Ratnuchak.

A large number of locals from the area including members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal settlements availed the facilities.

The facility of doctors from Army and State Health Board including Dentist, Gynecologist, Medical specialist, Paediatrician, Ortho, ENT and Veterinary Officer made it a unique venture, providing the people of the region a one point medical solution to their health requirements.

Large number of people including 363 men, 282 women, 128 children and 67 animals availed the facilities.

The camp provided quality diagnosis and treatment to the needy sections of the society and served to further strengthen the bond of “Awam” and the “Jawan”.

The event was also used as a platform by the Army to spread awareness and also motivating the youth of the region to opt for a career in the Army.
