India reports over 43,000 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India reported 43,509 new COVID-19 cases Thursday while 640 people died apparently due to the virus in the last 24 hours.

In the same period of time, 38,465 COVID-19 patients have recovered.

The active cases in the country now stand at 4,03,840 which constitute 1.28% of the total number of cases.

The Union Health Ministry Thursday claimed the testing has been ramped up as 46.26 crore samples were tested so far in the country.

In the anti-COVID-19 vaccination drive, 45.07 crore doses have been administered till Wednesday.
