India reports huge dip in Covid-19 daily cases, lowest in nearly 2 months

New Delhi/IBNS: India, a country of 1.3 billion people, reported a massive dip in the number of daily Covid-19 cases on Tuesday with little over 55,000 new infections in the last 24 hours.

In 24 hours between Monday and Tuesday mornings, the country has reported 55,342 new Covid-19 cases, the lowest number of daily new infections in nearly two months.

The overall tally of infections has crossed 71.75 lakh.

The Covid-19 toll has touched 1,09,856 as 706 people who were infected with the virus died in the last 24 hours.
