India reports 90,928 COVID-19 cases, 325 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India added a massive figure of 90,928 COVID-19 cases while the death toll went up by 325 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.

In the same span of time, 19,206 COVID-19 patients have recovered, further pushing the recovery rate down to 97.81%.

With a jump of more than 30,000 cases in 24 hours, the daily positivity rate has also increased to 6.43%.

The active cases, which are 2,85,401, now constitute 0.81% of the total cases.

Meanwhile, the tally of 'Omicron' cases have surged to 2,630 with 995 of them being recovered.

The top six states which have reported over 200 'Omicron' cases are Maharashtra (797), Delhi (465), Rajasthan (236), Kerala (234), Karnataka (226) and Gujarat (204).
