India records over 4,000 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered over 4000 daily COVID-19 cases for the first time in the past three months, official data showed on Friday.

In the past 24 hours, 4,041new cases were recorded.

India's active caseload currently stands at 21,177, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

During the same period, 10 people died due to the viral infection.

Active cases stand at 0.05 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.74 percent.

2,363 recoveries were also recorded during the period.

India's daily positivity rate now stands at 0.95 percent.
