India logs 5,076 new Covid cases

New Delhi, Sep 11, UNI/IBNS: India recorded 5,076 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 47,945 as per the Health Ministry data on Sunday

As many as 7 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,150.

A total of 5,970 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,39,19,264 as the national recovery rate stood at 98.71 per cent.

According to the bulletin, 88.94 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,20,784 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 214.95 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.50 crore second dose and 18.07 crore precaution dose) so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," Ministry data said.
