Inclement weather continues in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Mar 6 (UNI) Rain, snow, hailstorm and mainly overcast sky unrelenting normal life in the state, as the Met office on Wednesday noted the day and night temperature below normal.

Mainly overcast sky and inclement weather in the high reaches creating snowy conditions and plummeting the mercury in the day.

Met office said that minimum and maximum temperature remained unchanged in the last 24 hrs however, it is two to three and three to four degrees below normal, respectively.

Met Office records about nine mm rainfall in Sarkaghat in Mandi district, Baldwara and Bharmour five mm each, Pachhad in Sirmaur three mm, Bijahi in Mandi, Sarahan in Shimla and Palampur in Kangra two mm each and Shimla 1.5 mm.

Keylong in Lahaul Spiti was coldest with minimum temperature at minus 8.6 degrees, Kalpa minus 2.6 degrees, Manali minus 0. 2 degrees, Kufri zero degrees and Dalhousie 2.4 degrees, Shimla 3.7 degrees and Dharmshala 3.8 degrees.

Bhuntar in Kullu four degrees, Solan 4.4 degrees, Chamba 4.9 degrees, Sundernagar 5.5 degrees, Nahan in Siramur 6.2 degrees, Kangra 6.3 degrees, Hamirpur 6.8 degrees, Mandi and Bilaspur 7.2 degrees, Una eight degrees respectively.

The Met office said that cold wave and inclement weather likely to not relent the normal as forecast of rain or snowfall is made for isolated places in the mid and high reaches. The prediction of rain or snowfall at many places were made for Mar 8 in the state.
