Heavy rain likely to occur in Telangana, North Coastal AP and Yanam: Met

Hyderabad/UNI: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.

In a bulletin here, it said that heavy rain is also likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next 24 hours and on August 9.

The bulletin said that thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms is likely to occur at most places or at many places or at a few places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days, the bulletin said.

Southwest Monsoon has been normal in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.

Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana during the same period.

Rain occurred at many places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and at a few places in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.
