Five more corona patients discharged from Jalandhar Covid facility

Jalandhar/UNI: In a major sigh of relief on Sunday, five more patients who were tested positive for Coronavirus were discharged from Covid Care Centre in Government Meritorious School here.

21 patients were discharged on Saturday from the same Covid Care facility.

All the discharged patients are between 20-45 age group. They were found positive and had undergone treatment under a dedicated team of doctors led by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Jagdish Kumar.

These patients were today discharged from the centre as per the new Health protocol as per which a patient was eligible for discharge after the 10 days of onset of symptoms and no fever for 3 days with oxygen saturation (SpO, >93%) without oxygen support.

After getting discharged, they said that the state government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has made elaborate arrangements for imparting quality treatment to the patients suffering from Covid-19.

They also lauded the doctors and other health staff for ensuring treatment for them during this hour of crisis.

Meanwhile, complementing the team of Doctors who have ensured the treatment to these patients, Civil Surgeon Jalandhar Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla said that it was a major shot in arm of the district administration in the ongoing fight against this pandemic.

She said that with the sheer commitment of the medical experts and the will power of every individual Punjab in general and Jalandhar in particular would win the fight against this pandemic.
