New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Air quality continued to be 'very poor' in the National Capital on Tuesday with an average air quality index of 392 at around 1400 hrs, as per the Central Pollution Control Board.

At some places the AQI levels were even higher than the average with air quality being severe.

Meanwhile, the Delhiites woke up to a hazy morning and people were complaining of difficulty in breathing and itchy eyes.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to Haryana and Punjab governments on behalf of the people Delhi asking them to take concrete steps in view of saving the National Capital from this gas chamber-like situation.

Taking to twitter, the Delhi CM said, 'On behalf of the people of Delhi I appeal to the governments of Punjab and Haryana to take some concrete steps and save Delhi from becoming a gas chamber'.
