COVID-19: India continues to witness spike as 2,64,202 new cases recorded in past 24 hours, positivity rate touches 14.78 pct

New Delhi: India continued to witness a spike in COVID-19 cases as  2,64,202 fresh cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

Meanwhile, 5,753 cases were also recorded during the same period.

In the past 24 hours, 315 people died due to the virus.

India's active caseload currently stands at 12,72,073.

Active cases stand at 3.48 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 95.20 percent.

1,09,345 recoveries from the disease were also registered in the last 24 hours.
