Covid-19: Haryana records one death, six fresh cases

Chandigarh/UNI: Haryana reported one death and six fresh Coronavirus cases on Saturday, taking the state's death toll to nine and confirmed cases tally to 639.

According to an official bulletin, one patient succumbed to the deadly virus in Panipat district today, raising the death toll to nine in the state.

Three fresh cases have been reported from Sonepat district and one each from Panipat, Panchkula and Sirsa districts.

Of the nine fatalities, three death were reported from Panipat, two from Ambala and Faridabad districts while one death each was reported from Karnal and Rohtak districts.

In Haryana, Gurugram tops the tally with 126 confirmed cases, followed by Sonepat 89, Faridabad 88, Jhajjar 74, Nuh 59, Ambala 41, Palwal and Panipat 36 each, Panchkula 19, Jind 17, Karnal 14, Yamunanagar eight, Fatehabad and Sirsa seven each, Hisar and Rohtak four each, Bhiwani three, Mahendergarh, Kurukshetra and Kaithal two each, while Charkhi Dadri district recorded one case.

Out of 51,514 samples, 639 tested positive and 45,992 negative, while reports of 4,869 were awaited. There are 365 active cases in the state.

A total of 265 patients, including 57 from Nuh, 54 from Faridabad, 51 from Gurugram, 32 from Palwal, 17 from Panchkula, 11 from Ambala, nine from Sonepat, six from Paniat, five from Karnal, four from Sirsa, three each from Yamunanagar, Bhiwani and Hisar, two each from Rohtak, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Jind and one patient each from Fatehabad and Charkhi Dadri districts have been discharged from hospitals, so far.

A total of 37,464 patients have been put on surveillance till date, out of which 22,708 have completed their surveillance period and currently, 14,756 patients are under surveillance.

Meanwhile, apart from 639 positive cases, 14 Italians had tested positive. Thirteen of them had been discharged and one later tested negative for COVID-19. However, he died due to some other reason.
