COVID-19: 411 people under observation in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja on Tuesday said 411 people are under COVID-19 surveillance in the state.

Though no new positive case of Coronavirus was reported in Kerala, 411 people are placed under surveillance, of which 12 are in the isolation wards in different hospitals across the state.

About 4,379 people were under surveillance till this date after the outbreak of the deadly virus, of which 3,968 were excluded from observation till today, she added.

She said 12 people quarantined in their homes were excluded from observation after they tested negative.

"Out of 520 blood samples sent to the Virology Institute, the results of 494 tested negative. We are also awaiting for the lab reports of the others," she said.

The Minister said there is no panic situation in Kerala, which took several measures to stop the spread of the deadly virus spreading in 65 countries.
