Kolkata/Mumbai/IBNS: To aid the Centre’s anti-COVID-19 vaccination drive, BookMyShow, a ticketing and live entertainment management platform, has undertaken a pan-India community vaccination drive for the entertainment industry, corporates, and residential societies.

The initiative, which started in early June, has covered over 1,45,000 people across categories, said BookMyShow.

The major partners of this vaccination drive are Apollo Clinics, Medica Super Specialty Hospital, AMRI Hospitals, Peerless Hospital, and Techno India DAMA Healthcare & Medical Centre.

The enterprise has also organised independent vaccination drives at its Mumbai office, for the employees and families of various events industry firms residing in the city.

This drive is open to partners, vendors, promoters, artists, and organizers across movies and live entertainment to enable employees as well as their family members to get vaccinated. The initiative is open to all members of the entertainment industry, it said.

Further, BookASmile, the charity initiative of the company, is working towards the inoculation of 1,111 underprivileged artists from low-income communities in the live entertainment industry.

The enterprise allows consumers opting for the drive to book their slots and make online payments via the BookMyShow app and site.

Consumers will have to register themselves on the CoWIN website and provide their CoWIN registration details to book their slots.

In its first phase, it has undertaken vaccination drives for consumers across Mumbai and Kolkata and will subsequently expand this initiative across Delhi and Rajasthan.
