Patna, June 28 (IBNS) Following the death of one child and the hospitalisation of six others after being administered with polio drops in Bihar's Vaishali district, the Centre has sought a report from the state government over the incident.
A seven-month-old girl died on Saturday while six others were hospitalised following the polio vaccines.

Reports said  it is yet to be known if the cause of the death was polio drops or any other infection.

According to the investigation by the Ministry's team, the child was unwell before being given the vaccine.

India was declared polio free by World Health Organsiation(WHO) in the year 2014 after it saw no case being registered for continuous three years.
