Bihar: 70,000 people suffering from viral fever

Patna, July 4 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Around 70,000 people in Bihar have fallen victim to viral fever in the past one fortnight, officials said on Tuesday.

According to a report from the health department, the viral fever has spread out in virulent form in at least four districts of Bihar with Siwan being the worst hit.


In Siwan, some 23,000 people are said to be suffering from fever.

The other three districts affected by viral fever include Purnia, Begusarai and Gopalganj.

Health experts say the virus has gone active owing to increased level of humidity at this time and will continue till September.

They have advised the masses to be more careful these days and asked them to drink clean water, eat freshly-cooked food and use mosquito nets to keep themselves healthy.
