Of the 70 countries that received India-manufactured vaccines, Bangladesh received the most Covid-19 vaccines manufactured in India, a minister stated in a written reply in the Indian parliament.

Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey said Bangladesh has, so far, received 9 million doses of Covishield. Earlier in December, the Indian government had donated 2 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is followed by Morocco, which received around 7 million doses of Covishield. The Serum Institute of India is locally manufacturing the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine under a license agreement. The Indian company has become the largest producer of the Covid-19 vaccine worldwide.

The United Kingdom received 5 million, Saudi Arabia 3 million, Myanmar 3.7 million, Nepal 2.3 million, Bhutan 150,000 doses of Covishield.
