Bangladesh records 435 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh recorded 435 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the number of instances registered in the country so far to 537,465.

The death toll due to the disease in the past 24 hours now stands at 8,182.

Seven people died due to the virus in the past 24 hours.

Another 507 people recovered from the illness through treatment at home and in hospital care in the same period, bringing the tally of recoveries to 482,424, reports bdnews24.

Bangladesh recorded its first COVID-19 case in March last year.
