Bangladesh: Dengue hospitalisation crosses 20,000

Bangladesh has witnessed the admission of  1,424 dengue patients in recent times, taking the total number of admissions in the country since the start of the year to over 20,000.

Six more people died from the disease until 8 am on Sunday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services, reports bdnews24.

This takes the total number of dengue cases this year to 20,878, and the death toll to 106.

In Dhaka, the new admissions included 741 cases.

683 were admitted in other parts of the country.
