Assam DGP tests positive for COVID-19
Guwahati/IBNS: Assam Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
After testing positive for the new virus, the Assam DGP is currently undergoing home isolation.
Mahanta’s driver has also tested positive for COVID-19.
On the other hand, 2259 personnel of Assam police have tested positive so far and out of them, 1734 personnel have recovered and many of them have rejoined their duties.
Six police personnel have lost their lives due to COVID-19 infections.
