4.7 earthquake hits Nicobar Islands
Port Blair, Apr 13 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter Scale hit Nicobar Islands region on Saturday morning, officials said.
As per India Meteorological Department, the earthquake hit the region at 4.44 am local time.
The epicentre of the quake was located at 7.3 degrees north latitude and 94.4 degrees east longitude.
The quake hit at a depth of 10 kms.
No casualty has been reported so far.
