Prices of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders increased across India from Saturday amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

The price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 60 nationwide.

Similarly, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 115, according to a report by Moneycontrol.

According to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) website, the price of a non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 913.

Consumers will have to pay Rs 939 in Kolkata and Rs 912.50 in Mumbai for the same cylinder.

In Chennai, the price of non-subsidised LPG has risen to Rs 928.50.

The hike has also pushed up the cost of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. In Delhi, the price has increased from Rs 1,768.50 to Rs 1,883.

In Mumbai, the cylinder now costs Rs 1,835, while in Kolkata the price has risen to Rs 1,990.

Following the increase, the price of the commercial cylinder in Chennai has climbed to Rs 2,043.

Meanwhile, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri sought to reassure consumers, saying there is no shortage of energy in the country.

“There is no shortage of energy in India and there is no cause of worry for our energy consumers,” he wrote in a post on X.
