Mumbai, May 5 (IBNS): Vodafone India has launched an initiative to provide its customers an opportunity to watch an Indian Premier League (IPL) match along with friends live in stadia across matches in India.
As one more of several unique Customer Engagement Programmes surrounding the IPL tournament, Vodafone announces the ‘Vodafone Fan Army’, a unique Group Selfie Contest open to all Vodafone pre-paid and post paid customers in India.

To participate in the ‘Vodafone Fan Army’ Group Selfie Contest, Vodafone India Customers can simply upload a group selfie with their friends on vodafone.in/fanarmy. The more the Vodafone customers in the Group Selfie, better the chances to win an opportunity to be a part of the Vodafone Fan Army.

Commenting on the initiative, Ronita Mitra, Senior Vice President –Brand Communications and Insights, Vodafone India said, “ Undoubtedly the IPL is India’s biggest mass media property and our association with IPL is one that has worked very well for Vodafone in terms of enhancing reach and helping us drive a strong brand-consumer connect. The Vodafone Fan Army, is another innovative lead from Vodafone, that ties in with current lifestyle trends and fulfils an intrinsic desire in all of us to enjoy some of life’s precious moments in the company of those who mean the most. "

"The entire programme has been designed so as to build a fantastic, pulsating ambience at each game and make the Vodafone Fan Army one more aspirational platform around the IPL, akin to the Vodafone SuperFan Title. So if you are a Vodafone customer based anywhere in India, go on, click a Group Selfie, upload it on Vodafone .in/fanarmy and win an experience of a lifetime," Mitra said.

While the ‘Vodafone Fan Army’ will be accorded a designated seating  inside the stadium, Vodafone will also equip participants with interesting gear and eye ball grabbing techniques, making the whole experience one big fun ride and an occasion to be treasured for posterity.

Besides the ongoing Vodafone SuperFan contest, the Vodafone Fan Army is one more ‘Power to You’ initiative from Vodafone to enhance customer engagement with offerings that are differentiated and memorable.
