Vikram Limaye joins board of Gokhale Institute ‎of Politics and Economics

Mumbai, Jan 18 (IBNS): Gokhale Institute ‎of Politics and Economics, Pune has appointed Vikram Limaye, MD & CEO, IDFC Ltd, as a nominee of the Chancellor, on the board of management of the Institute with effect from Jan 16 for three years.

Limaye is a Chartered Accountant and a MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune, is one of the oldest research and training institutes in Economics in the country. Established in 1930 by the Servants of India Society, founded by late Shri Gopal Krishna Gokhale, are the Trustees of the Institute.‎‎ In view of the eminent and sustained contribution of the Institute to teaching, training and research in Economics since its inception, the University Grants Commission, in 1993, granted to the Institute the status of a Deemed University.
