Tata Sons appointed as Knowledge Partner by Ministry of Labour and Employment

Mumbai /Kolkata, Aug 8 (IBNS): Tata Sons has been appointed as Knowledge Partner by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

The partnership was formalised in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed on Friday.

The partnership entails working closely with the ministry in the areas of employability and entrepreneurship by providing thought leadership, conceptual frameworks, policies, and processes.

Tata Sons will also play a strong advocacy role in actively promoting women’s participation in the labour force and in the area of Affirmative Action as part of this partnership.

Commenting on the partnership, Alok Kumar, Director General, Ministry of Labour and Employability said, “Tata Sons has been a pioneer in the area of nation-building and we look forward to their role as Knowledge Partner to enhance employability and entrepreneurship within the country.”

N. S. Rajan, Member – Group Executive Council and Group Chief Human Resources Officer who signed the MoU on behalf of Tata Sons said, “It is a privilege to be appointed by the Ministry as Knowledge Partner. We will endeavour to work closely with the Ministry to realise the vision which is compelling and inspirational. We are excited and look forward to partnering with the Ministry in this journey.”
