
Tata Power Q4 net profit up 25%; FY25 led by renewables, discoms and TP Solar
Mumbai: Tata Power Company Ltd (TPCL) reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,306.09 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25, a 24.91% increase from the same period last year.
Revenue from operations rose 7.88% year-on-year to ₹17,095.88 crore, according to a Business Standard report.
The company’s Board has recommended a dividend of ₹2.25 per equity share, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
TPCL said 89% of its capacity addition in FY25 came from renewable sources. The company added 13.2 GW in Q4 alone, taking total capacity addition during the year to 33.4 GW. Its installed capacity in India stands at 475 GW, of which 247 GW is from thermal sources.
For the full year, profit after tax stood at ₹5,197 crore, while EBITDA came in at ₹14,468 crore. Annual revenue hit a record ₹64,502 crore, up 5% year-on-year. Underlying EBITDA grew 10% to ₹15,261 crore.
Total income in Q4 rose 5.97% to ₹17,446.95 crore, while expenses increased 3.11% to ₹16,179.77 crore.
Segment-wise performance:
Transmission & Distribution (T&D): Q4 PAT rose 50% to ₹616 crore. For the year, PAT was up 37% from FY24.
Odisha discoms: PAT jumped 207% YoY in Q4 to ₹275 crore. Full-year PAT rose 43% to ₹439 crore.
Renewables: PAT in Q4 increased 62% to ₹469 crore. For the year, PAT was ₹1,256 crore, up 48%. The rooftop solar segment posted ₹100 crore PAT in Q4 and ₹209 crore in FY25.
Manufacturing (TP Solar): The business emerged as a key growth engine, reporting ₹422 crore PAT on ₹5,337 crore revenue. It manufactured 3,291 MW of solar modules and 846 MW of solar cells in FY25.
