Spectrum auction: Rs.94,000 crore bids seen after five days

New Delhi, Mar 9 (IBNS) The Centre on Monday said it has total commitment of Rs.94,000 crore in terms of highest bids from the eight companies as 31 rounds of bidding for the auction of spectrum till Monday.

At the end of the fifth day of  e-auctions, the government said in a statement: " The Auction of Spectrum in 2100 MHz, 1800 MHz, 900 MHz and 800 MHz Bands re- commenced today at 09.00 A.M. and today 7 rounds of bidding were completed. Till now, 31 rounds of bidding has taken place."

" The bidding has taken place in all bands. At present, a value of approximately Rs.94,000 crores has been committed by bidders in respect of provisionally won spectrum," it said.
