Sensex, Nifty records worst drops in 8 weeks

Mumbai, Dec 8 (IBNS) The Sensex and the NIFTY dropped by more than 300 and 100 points respectively, marking the worst drop in 8 weeks on Monday.

Sensex slipped by 338.70 points to stand at 28119.40.

The NIFTY on the other hand dropped by 100.05 points to touch 8438.25.
