Mumbai/UNI: Rupee on Thursday dropped 17 paise at 82.45 against the US Dollar in the opening session on brisk demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at Foreign Exchange said.
The weak equity market too impacted the same. The local unit slid against other world currencies amid a weak opening in the equity market.
The Rupee recorded intra days high and lows at 82.32 and 82.46 respectively.
