Hyderabad, Sept 24 (IBNS) Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM) Wednesday announced that the company has selected a new distributor, Cadensworth. The partnership intends to increase Polycom’s national reach and provide leading unified communications (UC) solutions to more business verticals in the Indian market.

Under the partnership Cadensworth will further Polycom’s strong reseller base and help to expand its current solutions portfolio and reach in India beyond metros, to tier 2, 3 and 4 cities. This is a core component to the growth opportunities Polycom sees in the tier cities, with flourishing demand across multiple industries and enterprise businesses.

Polycom has a strong strategic business vertical approach and the agreement will extend Polycom’s presence through its partner network. Reinforcing the new partnership, Cadensworth is up scaling its operations to fulfil Polycom’s plan to cover 100 Indian cities. Cadensworth will support a large ecosystem of distributor led partners and leverage its pan India presence to extend Polycom’s reach to all major cities and industrial belts to help enterprises adopt video collaboration.

"This is a great opportunity for us to partner with a leading global brand. We are excited to be a part of Polycom's widening business outreach in India and the opportunity this provides to enhance our client portfolio with a highly respected technology leader,” said Anand Chakravarthy, Director, Cadensworth India.

“We are confident that the combination of Cadensworth’s market knowledge and reach, combined with Polycom’s market leading solutions, will provide excellent value to customers. We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with Polycom."

Minhaj Zia, Managing Director, Polycom India & SAARC said: "With the growth of some key industries that we operate in, there was an urgent need to strengthen our distribution network across the country to effectively reach out to our customers. Since a very important part of our business lies with mid segment companies, we have selected our partners keeping in mind the ability to extend knowledge of the benefits of our products across a wide geographical reach. Cadensworth is an industry leader with a strong presence across the country. The Cadensworth team has considerable expertise in the space and the ability to extend our business reach."

Polycom India has an Authorised Partner Programme, which offers special pricing, promotional programmes and demand generation programmes, along with technical, sales and marketing resources to support and enable partners to better cater to their customer's needs and requirements. This allows partners to reach a greater depth with those organisations that they service.
