New Delhi, Aug 30 (IBNS) Petrol price has been reduced by Rs 1.82 a litre while diesel price at retail outlets has been increased by Re 0.57 a litre, officials said on Saturday.

"Since last price change, petrol prices have continued to show a downward trend and the INR-USD exchange rate has also appreciated slightly. "For Retail Diesel, on 17th Jan'13, Gal authorized PSU OMCs to increase selling price within a small range every month. Accordingly, an increase of Rs. O.SO/Iitre(excluding VAT) is being effected in Retail Diesel prices, w.e.f midnight of 30th / 31st August '14, resulting in increase of Rs. 0.57/litre in RSP at Delhi (including VAT) with corresponding increase in other states," it said.
