Petrol, diesel prices reduced

New Delhi, July 31 (IBNS): Giving relief to consumers, petrol prices were reduced by Rs. 2.43 per litre while diesel was slashed by Rs. 3.6 per litre., officials said on Friday

"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 2.43/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 64.47/litre," Indian Oil Corporation Ltd said in a statement.

"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Diesel (Retail) by Rs. 3.60/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 46.12/litre," it said.

The new prices will come to effect from  midnight of July 31and Aug 1.
