Petrol, Diesel prices hiked

New Delhi, Mar 16 (IBNS): Adding troubles for consumers, petrol and diesel prices have been hiked on Wednesday.

While petrol price was hiked by Rs.3.07 per litre, diesel was increased by Rs.1.90 per litre.

The new prices will come to effect from midnight of Mar 16 and 17.

"Increase in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 3.07/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 59.68/litre," state-run Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOC) said in a statement.

"Increase in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 1.90/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 48.33/litre," it said on diesel price.
