Packaging war between ITC and Britannia Industries

Kolkata.New Delhi, Aug 24 (IBNS): ITC has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against Britannia Industries alleging that the latter has copied the packaging and text of one of its branded biscuits, according to media reports on Wednesday.

In the petition, ITC has stated that the packaging of Britannia's NutriChoice Digestive Zero brand has been copied from ITC's Sunfeast Farmlite Digestive ALL Good brand of biscuit and the .

ITC has sought damages for the alleged infringement and sought the removal of the product in its current package, according to media sources.

Regulator National Stock Exchange has also sought clarification regarding the matter from Britannia on Wednesday.
