Ola Shuttle takes over 10,000 people home safely on New Year's Eve in Delhi NCR

New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS): In a bid to enable thousands of party-goers on New Year’s eve reach home safely, Ola, India’s leading mobile app for transportation, said it has organised over 500 Ola Shuttles from popular party hubs across Delhi NCR covering over 50 routes.

The company partnered with over 150 restaurants and pubs at 5 of the most popular high-footfall areas including Connaught Place, Hauz Khas Village, Select City Walk, Saket, in Delhi and Cyber Hub and Leisure Valley in Gurgaon offering users an option to head home safe at the onset of 2016.

Covering over 50 routes, more than 10,000 people benefitted from Ola Shuttle's services and were dropped home between 12.30 to 2.30 am. This is in addition to over a million booking requests on the Ola app that was received on New Year's Eve across the country.

Sundeep Sahni, Vice President – New Initiatives at Ola said, “At Ola, we are committed to bringing comfortable and safe mobility options for users at all times. Ola Shuttles at top party destinations across Delhi-NCR on New Year's Eve helped thousands of citizens reach home safe this year. Vipin Dhingra, a resident of Dwarka - Sector 9 said, "We were a group of friends who got together for New Year’s Eve and had a great time partying last night at Saket. On getting out of the pub and deciding to get a ride home, we were pleasantly surprised when we found Ola Shuttles providing drop services towards where we all live. At just Rs. 50, we boarded the Ola Shuttle and reached home safe. A great start to 2016 I must say."
