NSE extends trade timing for interest rate derivatives

| @indiablooms | Feb 22, 2023, at 06:10 am

Mumbai: The market trade timing for interest rate derivatives will be allowed till 5 pm on NSE starting February 23.

The National Stock Exchange of India has extended the current trading time for the contracts from the current 9 am and 3:30 pm to 5 pm.

The move is aimed at converging it with underlying market timings, the exchange said in a circular.

Accordingly, interest rate derivative contracts for February expiry will be available for trading till 5 pm on February 23.

There shall be no change in trading hours for other interest rate derivative contracts, it said.

All existing expiry contracts with expiry days beyond February 23, 2023, and all new expiration contracts introduced thereafter will be available for trading till 5 pm on expiry day.

Also, there will be no change in the final settlement price computation mechanism.

It will be deduced based on the last two hours of volume weighted average price or VWAP of NDS OM trades, subject to a minimum of 5 trades, NSE said.
