METRO Cash & Carry announces its 2nd wholesale outlet in Delhi

Kolkata, Sept 29 (IBNS): METRO Cash & Carry on Tuesday announced opening another wholesale centre in Delhi.

Slated to open in mid-October 2015,  METRO’s 2nd outlet in Delhi will be located in Seelampur in East Delhi.

METRO made its first foray into the capital city with its Shahdara wholesale centre, which opened in February 2012.

In little over three years since, the wholesaler has nearly doubled its outlets, with the new Seelampur centre being the 19th in the country.  Earlier last year, METRO had announced its plans to expand its network of distribution centres to 50 by 2020.

“This is a truly exciting time for us and our customers“, said  Rajeev Bakshi, Managing Director, METRO Cash & Carry India.  “Our professional customers in this city ensured the resounding success of our first outlet in Delhi, and  we are set to build further on their trust by providing them with the highest quality products and services at the best possible prices. That is the METRO promise of excellence that we intend to keep.“

“Our business customers in Seelampur can look forward to starting the festive season on a profitable note - by making purchases that will maximise their margins, and by utilising our convenient wholesale service solutions to save on time and effort“, Bakshi added.  “With the help of our growing network of small and medium-sized local suppliers, we also provide a highly specialised  assortment that offers greater cost savings and relevance to the Delhi market.“
