Indian Market: Sensex up over 100 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday advanced 108 pts at 51, 531.65 in the opening session as most of the shares were seen positive.

The Nifty too rose by 25.70 pts to 15,461.35.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 51,554.92 and 51,179.94 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,467.75 and 15,374 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.26 pc and the Small Cap by 0.46 pc.

In 30 scrips 17 advanced, 12 declined while 1 remained unchanged.

The gainers were ITC 1.79 pc to Rs 216.65, ICICI Bank by 1.72 pc 654.25, Reliance Industries by 1.58 pc to Rs 2128, Bharti Airtel by 1.28 pc to Rs 530.35 and Asian Paints by 1.25 pc to Rs 2976.70.

The losers were HDFC by 6.12 pc to Rs 794.40, M& M by 6.06 pc to Rs 794.95, Infosys by 0.78 pc to Rs 1393.80 and Tech Mahindra by 0.77 pc to Rs 1018.25.
