Indian market: Sensex regains 835.06 pts

Mumbai/UNI: Snapping a losing streak of last six sessions, the BSE Sensex on Friday regained by 835.06 pts at 37,388.66 as buying was seen across the board.

The nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 244.70 pts at 11,050.25.

Tumbling down by 2747 pts in last six sessions, the Sensex opened on a positive note at 36,991.89, up by 438 pts. During the day, it surged by 918 pts to 37,471.17, days high, before closing at 37,388.66, rallied by 835.06 pts from its previous close.

The sensex registered days high and low at 37,471.17 and 36,730.52 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 11,072.60 and 10,854.85 pts respectively.

The sectoral indices like Telecom, Technology, Auto, Industrials and Metal stocks lifted the market.

In scrips Bajaj Finance was a star gainer, up by 6.64 pc followed by HCL Technologies, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank and L & T lifted the market.

The Mid Cap advanced by 2.90 pc and Small Cap by 2.31 pc.
All 30 scrips, ended positive today.
