Indian Market: Sensex moves up by over 200 pts

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday surged 254.86 points at 60,540.90 in opening trade ahead of RBI Monetary policy today.

All the sectoral indices were seen green.

The Nifty too rallied 86.45 pts at 17,807.95.

The sensex registered intra day high and low at 60,546.50 and 60,324.92 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,810.45 and 17,744.15 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.40 pc and small Cap by 0.45 pc respectively.

The gainers were Ultracemco by 2.36 pc to Rs 7240.10, Infosys by 1.35 pc to Rs 1583.45, Bajaj Finance by 1.31 pc to Rs 6240.15, HCL Technology by 1.17 pc to Rs 1141.30 and TCS by 1.15 pc to Rs 3510.50.

The losers were Bharti Airtel by 1.88 pc to Rs 770.60, Maruti Suzuki by 0.79 pc to Rs 8685.25, Tata Motors by 0.67 pc to Rs 432.35 and Sun Pharma by 0.35 pc to Rs 1002.15.
