Indian Market: Sensex falls over 400 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Friday slid 417.54 pts to 64,834.80 in opening trade as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty tumbled 121.05 points to 19,265.65.

Stocks like Bankex, Capital Goods, and Realty dragged the market in early trade.

The midcap fell 0.33 percent, and the small cap fell 0.01 percent.

In 31 scrips, 3 advanced while 28 declined.

The losers were Jio Finance Services by 4.98 percent to Rs 205.15, Ultracemco by 1.18 percent to Rs 8115, M&M by 1.04 percent to Rs 1526.50, Wipro by 0.95 percent to Rs 408.60, and Reliance Industries by 0.89 percent to Rs 2456.55.

The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 0.22 percent to Rs 7150 and Bajaj Finserv by 0.19 percent to Rs 1471.90.
