Indian Market: Sensex down over 600 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday slumped by 640.08 pts to 50,152 as selling was witnessed across the board.

The Nifty too fell by 180.95 pts to 14,850.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,834.78 and 50,068.83 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,048.40 and 14,818.50 respectively.

The Mid Cap declined by 1.18 pc and Small Cap by 0.84 pc. In 30 scrips 6 advanced while 24 declined.

The losers were Axis Bank by 3.04 pc to Rs 727.50, Bajaj Finserv by 2.40 pc to Rs 9710.45, ICICI Bank by 2.31 pc to Rs 598.70, SBI by 2.15 pc to Rs 373 and Bajaj Auto by 1.99 pc to Rs 3673.05.

The gainers were Tech Mahindra by 1.24 pc to Rs 1016.38 and TCS by 0.17 pc to Rs 3062 .
